I decided to get myself a Christmas gift this year. I haven’t been happy with where I have taken my life. There are things I want to change and improve. I haven’t lived my life to its fullest potential everyday. I can return my new life if I’m unsatisfied for whatever reason.
Never Lived in the Present
Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009I realized that I never lived fully in the present during my long day. I’ve been living primarily in the past and for the future. The past continues to haunt me. I look forward and worry about the future. “Be here NOW!” my philosophy/religion teacher told my class at least once a week in high school.
Clean Slate
Friday, September 18th, 2009Somewhere between enjoying what I have and being physically sick with my life, I decided to start fresh. It’s a process of stripping away layers of grit and soot during my short life. Details of who I am slowly emerge. It’s a delicate process much like restoring a work of art.

We are conditioned in American society to find what’s wrong with ourselves. Often times, it slows our growth and development because it demoralizes us instead of aspiring us to be better people. The list grows quickly. We need to step back and look inwardly and remind ourselves why we are great and what we are capable of doing. Here are seven reasons why I’m awesome. What’s on your list?
Five Accomplishments
Thursday, July 23rd, 2009We tend to forget our accomplishments and focus on our failures. People around us remind us of our failures. Others devalue what we did. Without reminders of our accomplishments, we turn into little balls of negative energy. We become less productive, more bitter, and find ourselves in a vicious cycle. I decided to write down all my accomplishments, big and small. After a few weeks of compiling the list, I’m presenting to you my top five accomplishments.
