I weigh 192 pounds today. My excess weight elimination project paused because of work and end of the semester school responsibilities. A week into restarting my excess weight elimination project, I lost four pounds.
I continued to run. Nothing changed in my training routine. The biggest change I made in the past two weeks has been my diet. I increased the nutritionally dense food while decreasing the empty calories. I NEVER FELT HUNGRY. I wonder if my theory about America being overweight is due to a diet lacking in essential vitamins and minerals along with the lack of exercise. Our bodies are designed to move and seek out good food. Maybe I didn’t feel hungry because it was a psychological thing.
I start Beachbody’s Ultimate Reset on Monday. It’s not a diet. It’s not just a method of cleansing and detox. It’s a lifestyle change. It teaches me how to eat more like my friend Ruth. She has the cleanest diet I know and a positively spunky personality. They are definitely attributes I’d like incorporate into myself. Ultimate Reset lasts for 21 days plus another two to three weeks to transition back into a friendly diet.
I chose Ultimate Reset because it will help me develop a healthy eating habit. It’s a program that has everything spelled out for me so I don’t to over think about what I need to do next. Ultimate Reset is a plan of action. It’s not like the the other cleanses that dehydrates you and robs you of your nutrients. I witnessed friends do that. They felt miserable. I didn’t want to be like that. Ultimate Reset appears to be a very holistic approach to detox, cleanse, and develop a healthy relationship with food.
I’m so happy that I lost four pounds over the past month and I look forward to improving my diet more!
