Five years down the road, I see myself completing a few major milestones towards reaching my ten year dream. Each goal is a dream in itself. Beyond these milestones, other events will take place in my life such as buying a home for myself, helping others, and growing my circle of friends. Here are my five in five years.
- Running the marathon distance under three hours is my next running goal. It is more challenging that the original marathon goal I set two years ago. Not only do I have to train to go the distance. I need to conquer more of my weaknesses. To achieve this dream, I have to stay injury free, become physically healthier, and strive to be mentally strong.
- Bad debt enslaves and good financial health liberates a person. Good financial health eases the stress and burden on life. It opens opportunities and offers more options in all aspects of life. Bad debt enslaves the person working to earn money for the person he owes. I remember what it felt like being free and I want my freedom back. I want to lift the burden from my shoulders. In five years, I find myself financially free and secure.
- Successfully nurturing new business ideas to maturity and profitability is a rewarding adventure. It provides an opportunity to
- Completing the AT, a transcontinental bike tour, and doing a road trip on America’s two historic roads are the minimum travel goals I have within the next five years. There is so much I want see, experience, and explore that I need to prioritize what I want to do so I can achieve other goals in my life.
- Completing my college degree in finance has been elusive but is achievable. Unfortunately, I listened to too many negative voices around and within me. I lost faith in myself, and stopped believing that I can achieve many things in life. Completing the Chicago Marathon and finishing the Philadelphia Marathon within my time window proved to me that I can succeed at anything I set my heart and actions to.
These goals can be accomplished within five years. I need to be more focused that I’ve ever been before, take action at a steady pace, and take possible opportunities as they come along. I’ll be living my dreams soon enough.
These are wonderful goals! If you believe in yourself you can accomplish absolutely anything! Admittedly I must start listening to that advice too.
Thanks Joe. I also think that anyone who believes in themselves and has faith in their ability can do anything they put their hands on.
