There are a lot of people to thank today for a great experience at the Chicago Marathon. Thanks to everyone that supported me as a charity runner and donated to Children’s Memorial Hospital. You guys rock and it means a lot to me. Matt, thanks for taking the wheel when we discovered that they closed Monroe ten minutes early. I really had to pee and Patrick needed to get to his corral. Thanks! I want to thank all the volunteers who stuffed the goodie bags, worked the expo, woke up at 2:30a to set up the aid stations, and stayed to clean our mess up. It’s a lot of work for something they didn’t have to do. I didn’t see you Diane at the first aid station but I think I was running by the wrong side in a huge group! I knew you were looking for me while passing out water. Thanks! A thank you goes out to Children’s Memorial Hospital for the spread they put out at the charity tent and smiles before the big dance. I appreciate everyone that stayed throughout the entire race and cheered the slow guys on. Thanks Marilou for making signs for me. I dunno how I missed you banging on your pan! A big thank you goes out to the two or three spectators that patted me on the back and encouraged me to keep moving forward. It meant a lot when I saw one of my goals slip away and my legs were in pain. I know I missed someone and if I did, you won’t care anyway.
