I woke up to a chilly morning and ran two miles. Well, it was more like a trot. It wasn’t too bad running in shorts and a long sleeve shirt. I think I’ll be okay tomorrow. I finally decided what shirt I will be wearing tomorrow. The Nike FitDry shirt in the goodie bag is the nicest light weight moisture wicking fabric I’ve felt from Nike. The REI OXT Fleet shirt I wore last year will remain in retirement unlike Brett Favre.
My teacher’s daughter is SOOOO cute! Before going to the Chicago Marathon Health and Fitness Expo, I drove to Starbuck’s to meet up with my summer school marketing teacher to drop off the BOB Revolution stroller I found at an REI garage sale. She introduced me to her husband and her new baby. We chatted for sometime and gave me great advice. Did I mention that her daughter is super cute?! My teacher, KB, was so happy to get the stroller. She wanted to start running again and I got it for a super great price.
My brothers and I went to the expo. Brooks had a great display called B*R*A*S*H. Nike and a few other vendors did gait analysis there but Brooks had the most creative booth. I wish I didn’t forget my camera so I can share its glory to you. It was pretty awesome. I want the B*R*A*S*H poster too. I’ll ask if they have photos of their booth so I can post it online.
After I came home, I found out I received more donations to Children’s Memorial Hospital. I want to thank Mike, Kelly, Tava, and Vera for their donations. I’m at $421.00 as of 10p. I’m inching up to my goal. THANKS!
Everything is all set. My gear bag is packed. My morning checklist is finalized. All I have to do is show up, run, and finish the race. It’s time to unwind and get some quality sleep tonight for tomorrow’s big dance. Good luck to everyone running the Chicago Marathon and other races across the globe. Have fun!
