I plan to be a charity runner for the Chicago Marathon. I’m not sure which organization I want to raise money for. Last year I raised money for two great causes. It was tough raising the money so I might focus my energy on one group. The question is which organization? Children’s Memorial Hospital, American Red Cross, or the American Cancer Society.
I raised money for the American Cancer Society for the Chicago Distance Classic. They work towards eliminating cancer as a health problem in the United States by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy and service.” Last year, I ran in honor of my uncle who died from cancer a few years ago.
For the Chicago Marathon, I raised money for Children’s Memorial Hospital. They provide pediatric care to some of Chicago’s sickest children. It’s a great cause and I ran for them in honor of my cousin Jeff who died when were kids.
The American Red Crosss is a wonderful organization that has done a lot of good throughout the Chicago area and the United States. They provide training so volunteers can respond to emergencies and care for people after a disaster or emergencies. I’d like to raise money for them because of all the good work they do.
Which group should I raise money for? The American Red Cross, Children’s Memorial Hospital or the American Cancer Society? Maybe I could raise money for two of the three groups again?
