Week Four: The Spartan Edition

School started off very well.  I’m getting just enough hours to fill much of my time.  There were a lot of small accomplishments this week.  No set backs whatsoever. This week theme is simplify simplify simplify!

Education

  • It’s time to bring up my study time to twenty hours.  Work gave me only 20 hours this week and 16 hours next week.
  • I have to attend all my classes no matter what the situation is at home or at work.  School is my number one priority.

Finances

  • I need to create a new budget for this year.  The old budget wasn’t cutting it.  It was very frustrating.  I have no social life and I’m missing out on life.  There are a lot of free things to do but it’d be nice to experience low cost activities.  Going back to school full time and working part time equals little to no spending money.
  • My transition away from Bank of America is almost complete.  I closed all but one checking account and searching for a place to get a lower rate on my credit card debt.

Health

  • The Chicago Marathon opens their registration on February 1st 2009.  I’m a nerd and will be waiting until midnight strikes so I can register.  Once I have registered for all my classes this year, all I have to focus on is training.
  • I have to track my diet again.  I’ve been blessed with a busy schedule but those even meals at my parent’s home is still killing my weight loss.
  • It’s time for me to wake up at five in the morning and start running.  The sun is rising earlier and and the streets are less than hectic.
  • I also need to build core strength and look sexy.  I plan on doing some resistance training this week.

Miscellaneous

  • I have to find four hours to work on a side project.  With the new time management skills I developed last semester, this should be easy.
  • I’m finally organizing and simplifying my room.  It’s going to be spartan so my mind will be relaxed and not overwhelmed by clutter.

Accomplishments

  • I closed most of my accounts at Bank of America.  One checking account is still open until I transfer all my bill pay information to Chase.
  • The desk is no longer in my room and I’m clearing out my living space.  There is plenty of space to work with now.  Nice…
